Consider Shopping Local This Holiday Season

I’m sure many of you, like me, are caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.  With Thanksgiving falling so close to Christmas this year, it’s made it a bit more challenging to get everything done that “needs to get done”.  In fact, part of what I need to get done each week is write a post for The Wild Ramp.  However, I haven’t been to the market the past couple of weeks, because I have been busy spending time with family and friends, decorating our Christmas tree, and shopping for Christmas presents.  So, I haven’t been writing.  I missed it.

Anyway, many of the gifts I purchased are from the mall.  However, this coming weekend, I vow to shop local and support The Wild Ramp and many other area businesses.  I feel truly blessed that we have a market like The Wild Ramp in our community.  With 88 producers and growing, The Wild Ramp has had a real impact on the lives of real people and for that I am thankful.  I know, though, that in order to keep the market growing and to keep it strong, I have to continue to support it.  What better way to support The Wild Ramp than to spend dollars that I would already be spending on Christmas gifts at a place that I hold dear to my heart.
