The Easiest Snack – Homemade Granola Bars

It’s time for another amazing recipe courtesy of products from the Wild Ramp. This week’s recipe features Crumbs Bakery, Honey Cinnamon Granola.

This granola has been featured at numerous cooking classes at Huntington’s Kitchen and is always a hit with both kids and parents.

I am always looking for healthier snacks for my children and nothing beats a good Granola Bar.  But typical pre-packaged bars are loaded with sugar and contain too many ingredients to name.Granola bars

If you’re looking for a homemade treat suitable for kids, with minimal ingredients, give this delicious recipe a try:

Peanut Granola Bar

1/2 cup Crumbs Bakery Granola

1/2 cup peanuts

1/2 cup Flaxseed (optional)

1/2 cup Medjool Dates

1 tbsp water

With so few ingredients this recipe is nearly impossible to mess up.

Add the ingredients in a food processor.  Pulse for 1 minute, slowly adding water as the mixture forms.  Once complete, spread the date mixture on a cutting board and slice into squares.  One batch should make 4-6 squares.  Serve immediately or wrap in wax paper and store in the refrigerator for 3-5 days.

It’s seriously the easiest snack I’ve ever made.  Enjoy!
