Volunteers are the backbone of The Wild Ramp. Without them we simply we would not be able to operate at the level we do. Volunteering should always be fun (even when it involves going through squishy tomatoes). Group volunteer projects can be engaging and fun and also build cohesiveness within diverse groups. In an effort to provide a variety of volunteer experiences we have implemented a group volunteer program known as “Run the Ramp.”
This program involves groups providing a concentrated volunteer effort on a given Saturday. A minimum of eight volunteers are requested and volunteers can come in shifts throughout the day. Only one organization or business will Run the Ramp on a given Saturday. Volunteer duties may include greeting customers, restocking, bagging groceries, cleaning, and organization of product or storage areas. Prior to the day of the event The Wild Ramp will provide a Frequently Asked Questions handout so that participating volunteers will be able to answer basic questions about our market. Organizations and businesses that participate in Run the Ramp will be featured on our social media sites and website – we currently have a reach of approximately 5500 unique users. Prior to, and the day of the event, The Wild Ramp will post on social media about the organization or business. After the event a full article with photos will be posted on our website and shared through social media.
If you organization or business may be interested in participating in a Run the Ramp event please contact Raine or Shelly at the market at 304-523-7267 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
