SOLD OUT: Valentine’s Day Charcuterie Masterclass
Join us at The Wild Ramp for our 2nd annual “Build Your Own Charcuterie Board” Valentine’s Day event. Looking for the perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your significant other? Need a reason to get the girls together for a fun “Galentine’s Day”? You are in luck! Each attendant will receive a take home wooden board made locally by Hilton Hastings of 2:10 Creations with a retail value of $40.00. Those attending the event will learn the tips and tricks of how to make a perfect board, how to make roses out of salami and what goes into making the charcuterie.
Your charcuterie board will be wrapped and packaged up for you to take home and enjoy on Valentine’s Day! Bottles of local wine will be available for purchase.
By attending this event, you are supporting your local food economy. The Wild Ramp is a non-profit organization which relies on the public for support. Fundraisers like this one not only go to support the Wild Ramp, but also local farms. The cheese for this event will be made locally using Snowville Creamery’s milk products. Attendants will also have the chance to use locally made jams, jellies, pickles, chocolates and local honey on their boards. A seasonal mocktail will be provided as a refreshment. Devyn Messinger
Devyn Messinger has been with the Wild Ramp since 2019. She started her journey with the Wild Ramp as a Mobile Market Associate where she loaded fresh produce on a truck and set up around the city to live out our mission. She has worked as our program coordinator and was the Kitchen Manager of the Harvest Kitchen at its inception. Today, she leads the efforts of the Online Food Hub, an eCommerce marketplace for The Wild Ramp. An avid traveler, Devyn has lived in and explored many places but knows West Virginia as home. Devyn trained at Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, where she developed a craft for farm-to-table cuisine and a passion for local food. When she’s not at the market, you can find her painting, browsing through her endless collection of cookbooks or on the hunt for her next great meal.
