The Harvest Kitchen

Through The Harvest Kitchen program, The Wild Ramp transforms surplus seasonal ingredients from our market producers into a branded line of prepared foods and value-added products – freezer meals, sides, desserts, soups, broths, snacks, baked goods, and more – all available in-store. In addition to selling producers’ items on our retail floor, The Harvest Kitchen creates a second sales outlet by purchasing ingredients directly from farmers for use in these locally sourced recipes.

Since launching in 2019, The Harvest Kitchen has used more than 3,500 pounds of surplus product. This means less food waste, more income opportunities for local producers, and a steady rotation of convenient, locally inspired dishes for customers to enjoy.

In 2025, the Harvest Kitchen turned more than 1,650 pounds of rescued local produce into a unique line of value-added products sold at the market.

Community Education

We know that cooking takes time and practice, and we want our community to feel confident using local and regional ingredients at home. The Harvest Kitchen hosts
cooking classes, tasting events, and health-education workshops right inside the market to help build that confidence and support healthier choices for families. You can find upcoming events on our Facebook page!
